S&C’s two-day Circuit-Switcher Workshop provides attendees with valuable, in-depth information and unique hands-on experience in the installation, operation, adjustment, and maintenance of the following S&C Circuit-Switchers:
- Type G through Mark V Circuit-Switchers
- Series 2000 Circuit-Switchers
The workshop’s primary emphasis is on Circuit-Switchers rated 34.5 kV through 230 kV. Attendees wishing to learn more about Circuit-Switcher models rated at 345 kV or 500 kV should contact S&C to make arrangements for individual discussion of these devices after the regular workshop program. The focus of this workshop is on installation, operation, and maintenance procedures; individuals interested in detailed training on the application of Circuit-Switchers should contact S&C to discuss training programs.
Who Should Attend
Over the past fifteen years, more than 2,000 people have benefited from participation in this workshop, including individuals involved in substation construction, operation, maintenance, and engineering.
Education Credits
1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEU) or 12 Professional Development Hours (PDH).
Instructors
Instructors for this workshop are S&C Field Service Technologists who regularly check out and/or supervise service of Circuit-Switchers at customer locations.
Workshop Schedule
- Day One — October 18, 2016, 8:00AM to 4:30PM
- Day Two — October 19, 2016, 9:00AM to 2:30PM
Additional Information
Attendees will receive an email about a week before the start of workshop that will provide more details on the course. Included in this session are detailed discussions of operator control schemes, and a review of current field-advisory programs. A tour of S&C’s manufacturing facilities – the John R. Conrad Industrial Complex – is also included, with special attention given to the Circuit-Switcher final assembly area.
